A SHORT DESCRIPTION OF MY VILLAGE

India is a land of villages. The majority of Indian people live in villages. I live in village Darbesh Pura in the district of patna. This village is six miles far from Railway Station Barh. There is only one road to connect the village with Railway Station and towns. This road is not in good condition. This road is not maintained properly. For this the Gram Panchayat Committee and District Board are responsible. Darbeshpura is a big village. It consists of about 300 families. The village was thickly populated ago. Now it is not so. majority of the people ofr his village have left the village. The blacksmiths, barbers, cobblers and washermen have gone to towns to seek shelter there from the cruelty of the village landlords. Those who hold some services live in town. There are Rajputs Brahmins Milkmen and Herdsmen in the village. Rajputs are cultivators. Brahmens are priest. Milkmen keeps cows and sells mild and curd. Herdsmen carry on cultivation. The houses of the villagers are mostly mud-buit. Houses have no proper ventilation. The streets are dirty. Villagers do not know the value of cleanliness. The villagers are poor. The chief occupation of the villagers is agriculture. They have no source of income except cultivation. There are no good roads. there is no free dispensary in the villager. There is no good roads. There is no free dispensary in the village. There improvced method of agriculture. There are no facilities for educating the boys and girls of the village. majority of the boys and girls are illiterate. There is no sufficient provision for amusement for them. The condition fo the Indian village be middle and High Schools for the boys and girls. There should be night school and library to teach the adult men and women. There should be a television set in the library. A cottage industry centre should be started.
