My dear Rafique,

You will be happy to know that I got the honour of being the best cadet of my school yesterday. It was the occasion of the prize-distribution function in the school. The Commissioner of the division was the chief guest. The Principal received him at the gate and the N.C.C troops presented to him the Guard of Honour. It was a simple function without any pomp and shows, But there was an air of serenity everywhere. When the Commissioner was escorted to the school hall, all students greeted him with musical clapping. Girls presented him a beautiful flower bouquet, and sang a welcome song. The Commissioner gave away the prizes and advised students to work hard and make themselves worthy citizens. The function closed with the National Anthem.
